SERVICES PERFORMED FOR CLIENTS:

Accounting is the language of business. Information about business transactions is expressed in accounting terms, is recorded, classified, summarized and finally reported in financial statements. As a key member of our client's management team, we help to determine the course of operations by interpreting and analyzing company's financial statements to aid in decision making that will have immediate and long term consequences. We work with people and numbers almost equally and must be comfortable with both, since skill in only one area is not enough. We not only have the ability to solve problems, but more importantly to detect them. TAX ADVISORY SERVICES:

Taxation is a complex and challenging area of our profession. Due to constantly changing tax laws, and business's tendency to become complex, every transaction has tax implications. We provide tax planning, advice, tax return and supporting documentation preparation, representation of clients with the various taxing authorities and their courts and generally aid our clients by assisting them to comply with a myriad of corporate and individual tax laws.MANAGEMENT ADVISORY SERVICES:

Frequently we are engaged to provide objective advice on a variety of problems in private firms. These problems involve, among other things, the development of information and control systems, and production and marketing systems. Since we are intimately familiar with the internal accounting system of our client's organization, (more often than not, we designed it!), it is logical that our clients engage us for assistance in matters as: Devising reporting systems for better control and decision making; installing cost accounting systems; installing computer operating systems; improving production control procedures; implementing work measurement programs for greater efficiency; developing organizational plans with definitions of duties and responsibilities; accounting systems analysis for improving procedures and internal controls; developing, reviewing, installing and maintaining budgetary controls.

COMPILATION AND REVIEW SERVICES:

Our profession, recognizing that different types of enterprises have different accounting requisites, and that not all users of financial statements have the same information needs, has developed compilation and review techniques. Although many small, privately owned companies have annual audits, many more firms engage us not to audit (examine) but to help prepare financial statements and provide operating and financial advice. These firms depend on us to assist them by providing accounting services, that in larger firms, are normally provided by their in house accountants.

AUDITING SERVICES:

We serve the interests of our clients, their potential investors, creditors and the general public by acting as independent auditors by examining financial statements, books and records and by expressing our professional opinion on whether these financial statements conform with what we refer to as the principles which are generally accepted by our profession. This is called the "attest function" and is the one trait that separates us as CPAs from anyone else. New York and New Jersey as well as most other states restrict this function to the Certified Public Accountant licensed by the state.
